CafeWorld - Magical Tea Party

Gosh I need lots of help!

I am starting on this catering job... (one of the many jobs that I still got left on the right hand side of the screen) ... the Magical Tea Party!

It requires 150 Stuffed Mushrooms, 300 Creme Fraiche Caviar, 250 Jammin' Jelly Donuts... Or I could just get it done for $20 + $18 + $14 dollars and some 15 Serving Plates and 10 Steam Trays... or $6 for the utensils.

Not that I think it is not important but I don't have the time to do this. This weekend is Christmas Shopping Week!

I have a Christmas Party to go next Friday, yes, company dinner! And gotta get the gifts, not to mention that I am meeting my friends on 23 December and I don't like to shop the weekend before Christmas! Orchard is just unpassable during that time and I hate that sweat and jostling just doesn't make shopping easier or enjoyable...

Well, I am meeting Darling No 1 this afternoon to go Orchard so, I just don't have time for the catering. Please help me! Join my quest for this Magical Tea Party...

It requires 20 minutes of cooking for the Jammin' Jelly Donuts, 30 minutes for the Creme Fraiche Caviar and 1 day (24hours) for the Stuffed Mushrooms...

Please help!

CafeWorld - Cooking Academy

I am in the Cooking Academy! Earlier I got this letter from Matty and I was told that I needed to do more stuff:

Dear Pek

Your application is coming together nicely! However I still need one more referral before I can accept you into the Cooking Academy. Send me the referral as soon as you can. Our instructors can't wait to meet you.

Matty

So I went to visit more neighbors and send those invites to my neighbours... luckily my effort was reciprocated!

Dear Pek

Congrats! I've approved your application to the Cooking Academy!

Chefts wear a Cravat (neck tie) to keep them cool in the hot kitchen. The color of your Cravat tells how much experience you have with cooking. Get your first one soon.

Matty

Hope to get more experience soon!

CafeWorld - Amelia Letter

I got this letter from Amelia, reminds me of  FrontierVille.

Wow, your Cafe is doing well!

You've got the talent to become a Master Chef, and Cooking Academy will help you get there!

Look out for Chef Matty's letter for the next step in your journey!

-Amelia

As you can see the letter appears in the top right hand side of the screen and the letter gets your attention by appearing right in the middle of the screen.

A second letter comes:

If you graduate from the Cooking Academy, famous World Chefs will teach you their cooking secrets. You're invited to join us, but first, quality for the Academy by finishing basic tasks. You're on your way to amazing awards!

Tell a fellow Cafe Friend!

You've been invited to Cooking Academy! Send a Special Delivery to Jerry and share the good news!

Well, I just realised that it was a move to get more people to CafeWorld ;p

Mafia Wars - Kitchen Knife

Yesterday I wrote that Mafia Wars is linking up Cafe World fans... Well, I got my kitchen knife :)

As promised, the Kitchen Knife has an attack of 27 and defence of 57 :)

Mafia Wars - Cafe World

Just found out that you can get a special weapon if you play Cafe World (why is Mafia Wars recruiting Chefs?)

The Kitchen Knife gives an attack of 27 and Defence of 57.

And you will get one if you level up in Cafe World, from Level 10 onwards.

CafeWorld - Amanda's Niece's 6 Birthday Party Help

Found this picture I took in September 2010 on this laptop.

It is actually a thank-you note for my friend who helped me out on the catering mission for the Birthday Party. My friend helped and sent me $500 coins and 100CP (CafePoints)! It is really good to have great neighbors like you! Read my previous post on how I started the mission and managed to complete the mission here

CafeWorld - Banknote Banker Bronze

Spent some money and got this Bronze award...

It gave me even a level up!

And there it is, even a 3-star! because it was finished in 1 minute (a minute literally to click the spend money icon, pity my fingers were too quick for me to stop and do a printscreen!)

CafeWorld - Special In Game Gift

This is a no-brainer...

CafeWorld offered me a choice of sending either 25 Bacon Cheeseburgers (and getting back 25 myself) or sending 25 VIP dinners and getting 100 for myself...

I got of course the VIP.

25 cheeseburgers are really very "little" in value. They can be cooked in 5 minutes and if you cook them in your stove, you can get 25 in really 5minutes literally, with 5 stove! and if you multiple each cooking with special spices...

CafeWorld - Amanda's Niece's 6 Birthday Party

Yap! Finished the Amanda's Niece's 6 Birthday Party (what a mouthful!)

Started only last weekend, it wasn't that hard... Thanks to my friends for helping!

I got the 3 stars... because I finished in 1 day and 8 hours...
Got 504 Cafe Points (CP), $7,560 Cafe Coins, and unlocked the next order that was the Birthday Cupcake!

And guess what... there is another Party I could cater to...

CafeWorld - Fancy Dinner Party

Started on my next Catering mission...

This is the Fancy Dinner Party... You can (at least I think) access it only after you complete the Amanda's 6 Birthday Party

It has the same concept, you gotta cook a mixture of dishes or get it served before you can get the party started!

The reward for the Fancy Dinner Party is a decent rack of lamb (though I am now almost vegetarian), I do think lamb smell nice! I know some of you don't like the smell of mutton but that is because you don't enjoy your food!

 Anyway the items required are:

41 Savory Stuffed Turkey
40 Angel Fruit Cake
180 Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail
72 Spicy Devil Eggs.

And if you (like me) had cooked plenty of the 12-hour Triple Berry Cake, you can sell them to Dale, Wholesale.

This means that you can sell directly from our counters and get profits (coins) instantly.
Well, nearly everything is instant now, isn't it? except when my fringe doesn't want to grow instantly!

Well, gotta to go spend more time on my housing... won't be blogging much this week!

CafeWorld - 6th Birthday Party for Amanda's Niece

Long time since I write about Cafe World...

Been still cooking and levelling up...
Today there's something new (besides the catering event that I did not write about)...

It's the 6th Birthday Party for Amanda's Niece...

Similar concept about the wedding cake but it's something of a twist, you need to cook 3 types of items for the wedding cake... just like FarmVille's event for Crafting

Well, first thing is that you gotta click on the event icon on the right side of the screen... It should look something like this, instead of a 2% but maybe something else...

Then once you click on that, you will see this screen which says " Cater Her Birthday Party"

You can get a 3 star review for this order, and you need to work with your friends by asking them to work as a hire for your cafe... Actually there is more, read below for more details...

So first, you can build your crew...

Then you can ask for help with the items for the party... basically you need to serve the Triple Berry Cheesecake 23 times, Club House Sandwich 7times and Bacon Cheeseburger 90 times...

How to get your items for the Party
Basically, as a Chef you will want to cook them yourself. A walkaround, would be to get these items from your friend's walls.

Or you can ask your friends to send these to you via Gift Page (if you can see them there)... Or you can do a Ask For Help on this page...

And you know what? CafeWorld gives you a glimpse into the other orders that may be rolling up! There is this thing that you can sell the dishes as a whole, and the 1year anniversary cake (suspect it is muffins?) and the current birthday cake thingie. There may be other events coming up, since there is an arrow for 3 more spaces....

And you can also compare with or Help your friends... with the Help Friends to see their order...

I did a screen capture for the first few cooking...

Will update more when I serve some more dishes for this order!

CafeWorld - Outdoor

Two days ago on 15 July 2010, CafeWorld introduced the Outdoor Cafe.

It was brewing for sometime now and the big news just came from the City Hall

City Hall is finally listening to all the Cafe owners and is granting decorating permits!

Impress your friends and customers by making the outside of your Cafe your own!

The screen looks neat too! The door looks more like a window than a door (I guess the placement of the door looks abit funny)

You can

Add a Roof
- select the type of roof
- install the roof
- select the color for your Roof
- paint the color you have chosen

Decorate the external area (also call Landscaping through the Wheelbarrow Icon)
- select the type of tree you want
- plant Trees
- add Extra decorations like Wall, Doors and TV...

This is how the screen will look like when you just started. I haven't decorated yet and will do soon.
Click to see the enlarged picture.

FishVille - How to Build a Treat Rack

I shall put in all I know about the Treat Rack. My Treat Rack is not completed now yet but it will be over the next few days. Then I can share with you what it is used for.

Now I shall go on abit on why you need to have it and how to build it.

Well, up to now (8.45pm 28May2010) I have completed my Lids and Labels.

ITEMS FOR FISHVILLE TREAT RACK

You basically need your friends to send you these items before you can get a completed Treat Rack:

5 Labels
5 Shelves
5 Lids
5 Jars
10 Nails

Pictures of the items:

Okay the Nail picture shouldn't look like that but I don't have the proper picture because I haven't completed mine yet. (Please send me, please!!!)

I don't like the number 5 (or the number 3, for that matter). But this 5 thing is a Cafe World concept, where you need to build your own Super Stove.

I almost thought you need 5 nails (haha) but logic holds that you can't build a rack with 5 nails *grins*

Well, so you need 10 nails and I am now short of 5 nails. (yes, I do need to remind you again)...

Now... the next part... How to get the 5 items.

HOW TO GO TO YOUR FISHVILLE TREAT RACK

You can get your neighbors to send you by posting your request on your FaceBook Wall. To do that, go to your Treat Rack by clicking on the Treat Rack Icon on the left side of your Tank. If you don't see it, make sure that you click on the Pointer Tool. If you are using the Sell Tool, you will not be able to see any of the Icons.

HOW TO VIEW YOUR PROGRESS FOR FISHVILLE TREAT RACK

After clicking on the Treat Rack Icon you will get to see your Treat Rack.

HOW TO GET THE ITEMS FOR FISHVILLE TREAT RACK

Now you may still lack a few of the items. You can either buy them with your FishVille Dollar or you can Ask your neighbors.

I dont really like the Asking part because it forces you to leave your tank (and I really like the music... which goes off if you leave your tank)... to the Select Friends Screen.

It will appear like this to the friends whom you have sent your request to:

Okay... That's it for now... Will post again when my Treat Rack is completed...

Please send me.... (what else, but nails!)
