FishVille - Reward Points for Discovery Log

Here's my reply today to Anonymous on how I got my Algae Collection completed in the Discovery Log.

HI Anonymous

I got my Algae collection by cleaning algaes, from either my own tank and also neighbors' tanks.

I haven't got any from today although they appeared frequently in the last few weeks. Normally I will have to finish cleaning all the algae in that tank before they appear (in pairs or triplets).

Haven't you got yours? I have got spare items and if you add me as a neighbor maybe I can send them to you.

The reward is the usual XP and Coins, and you get a notice that says that you have completed that set. Maybe I will do a post to show this...

Well this is my post on what it looks like when you completed one set of the collection in the Discovery Log.

Basically you just see the word 'COMPLETED' when you view the collection in the Discover Log.

Click each picture to view them in larger dimension.

So when you do a 'Trade-In', you will get to share it with your friends...

If you don't know where to click to view your Discover Log, you just need to look for the book sign that is next to the Store icon.

And this is the help from FishVille:

Welcome to the NEW Discovery Log menu. Access the Discover Log through the toolbox icon below...

And as you can see, as of today (8 Feb 2011), I have not completed the Algae collection yet. Still need more Algae Vitamins (it is shaded out in darker color, not very obvious, isn't it?)

Do send them to me if you have spares!

FishVille - Live Rock

My next quest in FishVille came up pretty fast.

It was to build a Live Rock. Same as my last post on the HMS Beagle I needed to place a part in my tank and to complete it. I did try to cheat by moving my already completed rock from another tank to that tank but that did not work!

FishVille - Valentines Box

I am so excited about this, FishVille has launched the Valentines Box for 2011!

In 2010, they did nothing! and I had to decorate my tank with hearts (well, not literally, as they were actually X and O's!) and this year I finally have some event to look forward to!

Place an empty Valentine Box in your tank to collect valentines sent by your friends and redeem these for limited edition fish between 14th and 17th February.

Note: The more valentines you collect, the better the Reward.

Notice the Capital "R" for Reward?

Click the pictures to see an enlarged version

Well,  if you have not seen the popup above you can always go to your Store to get it. It only cost $1,000 to put it in your tank! I am sure you have this amount at least! If not, you can always sell all the Fast Fishes (read my posts on this) to get more money!

And once you have placed your Valentines Box in your tank, you will be able to see what you need to fill it with: Valentine Heart or Valentine Cupcake.

Come and visit my tank! I am re-decorating it and placing my 2010 decorations in it!

FishVille - Party

Our dear friend wants me to spread some festive spirit, in the name of Lunar New Year or Valentines' Day?

Well, here it is:

I'm here to spread the festive spirit. Let's throw a party for Dylan

And I needed to get 3 friends to confirm their attendance:

Dylan's been feeling a little down lately. You should throw him a party.

Ask 3 friends to confirm participation. (or I could unlock it for $3 Sand Dollar)

FishVille - Old Is Gold

What exactly is FishVille up to? They want us to sell the fishes young and now they tell me that the fishes are too young?

I gotta sell a fish of age 30 or above (or I could unlock it for 5 Sand Dollars).

But of course, being a fish lover I definitely have 'old' fishes. So I sold off one (50+ year oldie ;p)

And then I got 3 'instant grow' food. Well, the Hint doesn't work for me, if I just get 3 back!

The hint was: Use Insta-grow to help your fish grow faster

I needed to place a HMS Beagle part in my tank and to complete it!
Read my post on how to build a HMS Beagle.

FishVille - Dylan (Spice It Up)

After writing about Dylan's Fund earlier (read about it here), Anya told me this:

Dylan is a friendly dolphin. Make sure he meets other interesting fish - Anya

Then the event - Spice It Up - appears:

Needed to buy:

5 Shy Hamlet

5 Mini Dart Goby

5 Hawaiian Hogfish

These are very basic fishes for beginnings even. Read more about these fishes from my earlier blog post.

FishVille - Old Clock

The Old Clock in FishVille sells for $1,000 Coins.

I decided to finally place them in my Tank 3 and here it is.

Why 'Them'? because I have got 11 of them! Thanks to my kind neighbors, they think I needed lots of time keeping!

And of course I have reared 4 types of fish in this tank, circled in orange. These are some of the fishes from my Fish Mastery posts. Read my Fish Mastery posts here :)

Another part to the new adventures in FishVille.

There is this guy call Hagbard.

They call me Hagbard - the aquarium consultant. It's time to pay the neighbors a visit.

Then I saw this thing (after clicking on a new icon on the left)...

Neighborly Love

It is time to show Dylan what it means to be a good neighbor.

FishVille - Dylan

Today I got time for Dylan. He is the adorable dolphin who was rescued from an oil spill in FishVille.

After buying and selling 5 Percula Clownfish, I got him a beach ball from the Store at $570.

I used to have alot of the beach balls... as part of my strategy to get The Decollector Award (read more here)

The reward was for 200XP and 5 Medicine. It says then that Dylan is a happy camper!
