Dog Walk - 26 March 2011

Took these pictures when my parents were on their Hong Kong trip.

Had 2 peaceful weeks to myself (amid my younger brother around the house).
My elder brother went for a "holiday" too; national service or what they call "reservist". He was confined (yes that is the word) to a restricted area and couldn't come home to eat the tasty Sharkfin Chicken Soup I cooked on the first Monday of that Freedom Week ;p

Well these were taken on 26 March, a delightful Saturday. After the walk.

Me and Darling No 2.

I took quite a few takes of us at my door, trying to get the perfect picture.

And now, some of the flowers my daddy has been nurturing. He is good! I wish I have his green hands but plants just wither when I am around.

His orchid. Brought back home by mummy.

These are I think some other tropical plants. Not sure what are their names.

This one is definitely African Violet. The same type that used to grow in my Kampung home in Chua Chu Kang. Number 202 too. Add me on Facebook if u were my neighbor before :)

I remember I had some younger kids who were from the nearby coffeeshop. I miss my childhood! Those were the days, indeed.

Erm, another angle of the orchid.

And more of the tropical flower.

My favorite Bitch, ops, Darling No 3.

And my Darling No 2 who keeps me company every night (well, nearly). He is a darling!

The 2 loves of my life. Now.

A tribute to the fish tank that my daddy maintains outside my front door. Don't know where he get this. It keeps the MP reminded of my dad! He is always so proud when he relates to friends (and family) when the MP told him, oh I remember your tank! ;p

These are the decorations on the top tank.

My corridor. A delight to go out everyday to be greeted by beautiful plants. And I love the bamboo!

And my gate.

Taking these in case I am moving out. Hopefully soon. More news soon!

A Sweet Day

When I was walking my Darlings, Darling No 1 told me that there was a rain bow.

We were heading back home when he saw it.

He did not bring his handphone (left on my bed) and I took the pictures.

The rainbow was really a semi circle and stretched from one end to the other!

And when I thought that it was good, something even sweeter turned up! Guess what?

A double rainbow!

It was really a nice day. We had spent the entire afternoon hunting for some household accessories (after a great omelette breakfast - he took chicken and me mushroom -  at Hans) and it was really hot and dry. When we reached my place (west of Singapore), it was really humid. The light rain helped abit.

Darling No 2 wanted me to bring him down and this was really his work!

That was how we got to see this beautiful surprise.

Darlings

Updates of my darlings...

Haven't brought them for dog walks since Darling No 3 had her menses. Dogs (or rather, Bitches) have theirs for 2 weeks, every half a year. It is not really frequent but this is a hassle which most savvy dog owners will avoid by getting a male dog. I was one of them but was persuaded by my Darling No 1 who was awed by how cute Darling No 3 was.

See the videos to see how cute they were (and still are)!

Recently I posted some of their videos on Youtube... Do go there to view :)

Bukit Batok West Park Connector

As you know, I stay in Bukit Batok. On 30 Jan 2010, I was waiting for the bus when I realised that the  Bukit Batok West Park Connector is ready.

It was among one of the many upgrading schemes for my residential area.

Another upcoming project is the covered walk way from the bus stop from the Old Folks Home to the Dunearn Secondary School. This was in the progress, as I heard in one of the RC meetings I attended. But more of that later.

I shall post more pictures the next time I walk my dogs on this route.

Are you aware of the residential upgradings for your area?

Today's Dog Walk

Here are my darlings again.
After about 1km's walk.

This is my Darling No 3.
Notice she is still as energetic as ever!

Oh here she is, with a Candid Camera look.

And here she is again,  distracted...

The reason why I am taking so many pix of her, is....

Have you noticed something on her beard? ;p

My flower girl licks me up everyday, now I know she always has a flower in her beard!

Another walk in Little Guilin, Bukit Gombak

I love the Little Guilin in Bukit Gombak.

There is this shelter that I nicknamed 'Little Cave'. Guess a more appropriate description is 'Lovers' Cove', since there are always couples there, whenever I bring my dogs there.

Was supposed to do this walk with my Primary School friend Sylvia but she was down with a flu.

Isn't this beautiful? My HTC Magic may not do it justice (though I think it is really due to my camera skills).

Here's the picture of the Lovers' Cove (from the side).
If you can't spot it, it is the green patch on the left side
of the picture *haha*

The weather was perfect, and I did not sweat when we (with Ash & Kyla) reached our destination. It was truly a fun walk. We met this guy who we bumped into on our way back. He seems to live nearby. But more about him later. Since we are sure to meet again.

I took some candid pictures of Ash since it just looked so nice from the angle where I was sitting.

Here is how Ash and Kyla looks like when I forced them to pose.
A mother and son stopped to see me forcing them to pose.
*haha* I did not take their picture though *wink*

Kyla does looked abit grouchy. I nickname her 'The Tongue' actually.
She is a chirpy little monster (with a monster Tongue) if you know her her. She will lick you to death if you let her (and she does that to me
every single day). I have to push her away everytime she comes to me. (yes, it is THAT bad... and I haven't started on her breathe yet!)

Here is a picture of all three of us (which I know you are dying to see *wink*) As you can see, they are both distracted by other things and did not pay attention to the camera.

We rested for a while before going back home.

There is nothing I want more, than to be able to take fun walks with my darlings every single day of my life.
