Social City - Unlock SouthEast District

I wrote earlier that Social City is giving us this option to expand. But there were some errors...
Well, finally they are letting me expand...

I got the full 17 votes, out of the required 15 votes.

 

Well, it comes ready with a few trees so that your population is ready to grow, just like the first city. The 2nd city does not though!

Well, I got some coins and XP for this city. Not bad! Go and unlock yours now. Mind you, only one neighbor per vote! I thought I could vote twice for a friend but turns out nope! They count your vote! So no cheating... haha

Erm, I took this screen to show how it is unlocked, but turns out my cursor was pointing to South District. Well, no more expansion for now...

I got a new building there, at SouthEast, go and find out what it is!

Social City - Spin For Gift

Went into my Social City and saw a new notice. Now Social City is launching a Spin The Wheel game. You get to keep 8 sets of building. They don't seem to show the stats for the buildings and I am not that keen to go and find out what are the benefits... Anyway when I click on the Spin....

I am told that I need to pay $4 dollar! well, forget it! 8 x $4 = $32! Nah...

There is also a new thing... the Expansion thing. It seems that if you log in everyday, you are rewarded! I don't know if it is the weather that makes my people unable to feel good! I can't grow my people but I can only clean the buildings. But I am still doing it because I am curious.

And I am not collecting much from my factories because they are producing 3-day products...

Social City - Census Bureau

The latest addition to Social City is the Census Bureau.

I wasn't sure what it was but it was given to me via a pop up. They actually count your populatin! But I don't know what that does?

Anyway it is this popup:

For welcoming 20 houses you get The Census Bureau. It moves in everyone in a region! Reward: +5,000 Coins and +20 XP. The Census Bureau goes into your Inventory.

Once you got that building on your City, and you click on it, you will see this pop-up:

Population goes uncounted across the city! Your census workers are ready to go, but need 1 energy to get out to the people. Count'em!

I guess they give you additional headcounts if you like... Same as the garbage thing but that hasn't worked for me yet! Because the garbage still remains in my city... *sigh*

Social City - Garbage Part 2

I wrote earlier about garbage appearing in the virtual social city.

Well, something is wrong with Social City! And I thought it was just Mafia Wars.

I saw the same thing, gargage on my expanded space.

Then it was just the same notice. Only that I am able to click the clean button. After I used that 1 energy, it became 3 and doesn't allow me to clean again. And the garbage remained!  Wasted effort?

Anyway another district is opened but I don't think I will want to get it... just not yet.

Social City - Garbage!

Today I found Garbage in my new town!

It looked really horrible and have a peek if you want...

After clicking on it, Social City display a notice about the Southeast Public Works.

Garbage is overflowing all over the district! Your garbage trucks are ready to go, but need 1 energy to clean up the mess!

It then shows that I have 4 energy but it doesn't allow me to clean! I must say this is similar to the Coffee Concept in Cafe World. I haven't blog about the Coffee in Cafe World but I am not about to. Let's just say that Zynga is / has been recycling game ideas all over her games!

The point of having a virtual city is to have a imaginary world to escape to, isn't it? Why do they have to invent garbage in this world?

Okay, I hear you, reality check, you say? *faint* Then give me some Spas or really nice greeneries! Why garbage?

Will they give us Sea, Mountains too?

Anyway, here is how you get rid of it... yucks!

Well, I tried to click on the Clean Garbage thing but as you can see, it is faded in color. It doesn't allow me to clean. So there.... Will update again if I can do it.

Social City - Expansion

A quick update for Social City.

Now if you are like me, an avid player for Social City (okay okay not that avid, I log in only once a day and not that much), you would have run out of space to expand. Well, Social City have given us a new place to go... SouthEast!

Well, I will definite go there, but not now (no time! ;p)

My daily weekdays schedule

I wrote about my daily weekdays morning schedule.

I am home usually 7.30pm. Then I got to clear the pee-tray and prepare dinner (just kibbles only) for my Darlings. Then it's bathing time and dinner time. Sometimes this goes to 9pm! Then I settle down to some chats with my Darling No 1. Then it's time to go into FishVille and my many other games.

How many games do you have and how much time you spend on each game will give you an inkling on how much time I spend on my Facebook Games.

At my last count of 8 games, I usually spend like 1.5 or 2hrs per day on it. And this is excluding clearing the game gifts!

Most of my time is spent on FishVille but I also go into Mafia Wars and FarmVille. These are my favorite games so far. Oh and Social City. The rest of the games are on an adhoc basis. Well, that's it for today. Gotta rush to get my Darlings washed up.

Yes, I just came back from my morning walk and my  mom's stuck in the toilet so I got sometime to type out something. And yesterday I forgot to bring my handphone out, so I wasn't able to blog on my way to work....

Social City - Leisure Buildings

Just calculated something for social city. This chart ranks the leisure buildings that can be purchased with Coins, in the population order.

So in another words, the farmers market is better for solving your population problem than the daily news or the royal casino. I think I will have to redesign my Mark Square soon.

Hope you find this useful. If necessary, I will beautify this in a later post.

Social City - Landscape

This is my Mark Square now.

Social City is abit tedious I guess... because you need so many clicks! But it's fun to decorate your own city!

These are useful because they help to increase your Leisure requirements.

Social City - How to read your population

I just found out that if you want to know how well you are progressing you should click the Box on the top right of your screen.

 So it tells you what you need to know.

For my city, it shows that my current City Population is 1,440 people. And that I need to hit 2,000 headcount to get my Factory No 4. (Do people die? I know this is a morbid thought ;p)

Well, and I have enough Leisure facilities to satisfy 10,833 people.  So I guess I am safe for now...

And I finally know what my pretty secretary is telling me... that Karin was a friend! and She was simply updating me on who is doing what. Even when Friends accepted my requests and gifts! Wow!

Yes, this is a great start to my Small Village... when you grow more people, you are rewarded in cash! :)

By the way, I tuned down (actually the correct word is silenced) the music. It just isn't my cup of coffee...

Social City - Tutorial Screenshots

My friend YC persuaded me to join Social City and here are my screen shots...

These are the tutorials. I wonder if everyone sees a girl? I think she's a female secretary...

I was told to create population... that green thing is a house.

Then I was told about the factory to let them work...

And then there is this contract thing for the factory. Of course I choose the 5min thing...

 Then somehow the pretty secretary called me Mayor! I like the sound of that! well, she mentioned soemone called Karin and I don't know who was that?

Well I got this Daily Bonus out of nowhere and I am not complaining!

Then there is this Collect Coins once the factories are done producing the 5 minute puffs...

And then there's the leisure thing for the population to do...

 Gotta choose the Build Icon and then the 3rd Tab for types of Building from the left (Leisure)

And then the first Leisure facility turn out to be a BasketBall court!

Well, I was then supposed to brag, erm publicize my achievements... The lady doesn't looked that nice now... In fact abit evil, I would say ;p

And then the game goes on...

This reward of 500 Social City Coins and 40 XP is for the Mayoral Sash... something I got for something I did. Wish I knew what it was ;p

 And suddenly I am a level 2! Man, it is fast!

And Social City thanked me for signing up with them, $5,000 Coins and 50XP!
Wow! and I got this Post Office building... It was in my gift box...

And I went to build my own factory and got this badge... another $5,000 coins and 15XP for reward, Not bad ar!

Then I got this notice where I was given a Community Center and now I am a Wide Spot In the Road! lol

Oh I guess it must be the population growth...
Well...

And then I am a Level 3! Whoopie!

And I got promoted to a Bronze Leisure Trophy for my cinema... I had a Coffee Joint as well, since I simply cannot live without it... Another 500 Coins and 10 XP

Then I went to accept my friend's invite and I got myself my first neighbour!

And she (Feng for now) needed help! I needed to rescue this cute kitty from a tree... and organised a rescue mission!

And I got 350 Coins for the Kitty Rescue...

And this is my Social City now...

The arrows or yellow signages (on the left) are the populations I could grow. The orange signages (those on the right) are the factories that are free to work...

And you can see my first neighbor :)

Well I guess the game is simply fun. Not too sure the objective but I think you need lots of coins or cash to build your houses and factories... invest!
