Just read these information which was available on the FishVille Help page (Source).
So Fishville has confirmed that Adult Fishes will become hungry at the same rate equal to their growth before they get sick (example: a one day fish will become sick after two days have passed with no food). You need to sell the fish before it dies, or feed it to keep it longer. Remember, baby fish cannot be sold.
I take this to mean that you need to go back to your fishes in twice the duration of time for the fishes to mature.
Also, Fishville also says that if your fishes become sick (technically only Adult Fishes can get sick, not Baby Fishes), we as Fish Lovers will have at least 3 days before it dies.
So this means that you cannot revive your Fish after (2 x maturity period) + 3 days.
An example for these 2 types of fishes:
Mini Dart Goby: Grows In 5 minutes
Adult Stage reached in: 10 minutes from hatched
Sick Stage reached in: 11 minutes from hatched
Death Stage reached in (2 x 10minutes) + 3 days = 3 days + 20 minutes from hatched
Prawn Goby: Grows In 1 day
Adult Stage reached in: 1 day from hatched
Sick Stage reached in: 2 days from hatched
Death Stage reached in (2 x 1 day) + 3 days = 5 days from hatched
Do note that Mature Fishes will hit their last growth rate at Age 4. They will then gain an additional one day for growth and hunger time.
There is actually no information that you have to feed your sick fishes before selling them. I believe this is omitted by Fishville. Personally I have not experienced this, but my Fish Lover neighbors have confirmed this.
Hope these helps you.
Please do add me as a neighbor if you need more medicine... I can help send you stuff!
It is really sad when your entire tank of 40 fishes get sick! Just imagine the amount of medicine you will need!
