FrontierVille - Market

Took some screenshots of the Market in Frontier Ville.

Basically you got special items, such as the Whiskey Jugs, Six Collectibles, Tend Here Sign, Hands Off Sign, Shower, Skull, Thorns, Cactus.

Of course there's the energy stuff you got to eat.... All You Can Eat, Light Snack, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, 7-Course Feast, Beef Jerky, for now. Click on the picture to see what are the requirement. You may not buy them even if you want to. 

 Then of course for Decorations you got Whiskey Jugs, Dinner Bell, Tend Here Sign, Hands Off Sign, Shower, Fence, Crooked Fence, Wire Fence, Fence and Saddle, Hitching Post, Firewood, Hay Cart, Lumber Cart, Log, Hay Bale, Open Crate, Bucket, Stool, Barrel, Pitchfork, Shovel, Washboard, Rocking Chair, Pump Well, Feed Trough, Water Trough, Forest Saw, Butter Churn, Tent, Campire, Tombstone, , Large Pond, Scarecrow, Outhouse, Wishing Well, Clothesline, Checkered Barrel, Loom, Scythe, and of course Haystack, Turning Plow and the Windmill.

 

Then the Buildings are also quite divest. You got Cabin, General Store, Barn, School House, Inn, Covered Wagon, Chicken Coop and Sawmill.

Animals are Chicken, Goat, Sheep, Pig, Cow, Ox, Mule, Horse and Goose.

 Not to forget Trees: Cherry Tree, Apple Tree, Pear Tree, Peach Tree, Apricot Tree, Pine Tree and Oak Tree.

Common crops such as Clover, Tomatoes, Pumpkins, Potatoes, Flax, Corn, Sunflowers, Wheat, Peas, Cotton, Peanuts are also available.

FrontierVille - Game Play

Are you curious about how FrontierVille is about?

It is actually similar to FarmVille but it is more adventurous, definitely different from Social City.

The setting is in a countryside, with country music. The game requires you to get energy for activities. I did not notice this when I started the game and just anyhow clicked! Be careful when you are playing yours.

Well, when you are out of energy, you can buy food to increase them.I think I wasted my HorseShoes. This is actually the credit you pay with your money. I think at the start of the game you are given like 10 credits (based on my printscreens).

There is this cute Frontier Jack who helps you.  He starts off by telling you what you should be doing... farming!

Well the first thing I learnt from him was the farming and that you get coins from it! And also XP and food. After you do the stuff (clear plants, cut wood, harvest from crops, or feed animals like chicken) you get the rewards. You have to pick them up. I suspect they disappear into thin air when you don't pay attention!

    

The experience from crops is interesting. You get something for it, quite different from FarmVille.

  

The game is interesting because you get to do different things, besides just farming your crops and harvesting from animals. You get to do different small projects. But I am not sure if this is just for the immediate few stages. Let me explore more. But for now, let's just assume it is many small projects.

Well, one of the animals that you get to keep (which is already in your farm) is chick! I suspect it is given to let you be interested in the game, at least I was!

Some pictures of how I fed the 3 chickens. You get XP and coins for it. Click the pictures to see how much Coins, XPs you get for the chickens.

   

The game also makes you grow the number of players for FrontierVille. I think the game builds on the Zynga concept of pulling players in through their players!

After loading the game for like 7minute, Frontier Jack tells you that more neighbors are needed!

Indeed, this is not lost on me, especially when I visited the Market (another story for now).

Somewhere, I received this love letter. I thought it was an invitation from another player but seems not. Then as I progressed through the game, I realised that there are collectibles too! Much like FarmVille. But I do not know how to see what I have collected so far. But I know there's lots of things to collect....

Along the way, I went to clear as much grass as I can click. The game seems abit slow since the chopping of trees or clearing grass literally makes you wait for them! (reminds me of how FarmVille was like). The clicking and waiting concept seems applicable to CafeWorld too. Anyway soon I was out of energy.

Then I went to eat the food. Of course you got to pay for it, at the Market. But once you have cleared that, Frontier Jack tells you that you are ready to tame the wilderness. Nice!

Mafia Wars - Las Vegas

Just wondering, did you go to Las Vagas?  I think I missed the boat!

When I click on this banner (just above the game events), it goes back to nothing! I think I just missed it! Well, I don't have much time anyway, so there.... Hope you get something nice, those of you who went for it.

But the banner does show the Loot event to be from 25 June 12am to 30 June!




Well, I still got loot event (Why is this font blue in color? I think it is time for me to sleep again... before my pc starts playing more tricks on me)...


Anyway I got a High Roller (46 Attack 23 Defence) and also a Stage Show Tiger (28 Attack and 50 Defence).

Somehow I got this screen in Mafia Wars: It shows the numbe of weapons, arms, vehicles and Animals I have collected. I suppose this is what Mafia Wars have been trying to do: encourage more people to have animals, instead of the usual weapons and armor and vehicles for fighting/robbing...

FrontierVille - Introduction

I have started a new game, FrontierVille because of CC. She told me over the dinner on Saturday that she needs neighbors, out of goodwill I joined... The game looks quite fun and I will be posting some pictures...

The game starts with you choosing your icons.

I went to customise my look and it seems like alot of the features seems to be copied over from FarmVille or CafeWorld. This is the final look I have chosen for myself.

FishVille - Pearl Stash Redemption

Finally had sometime to do the Pearl Stash Redemption.

I went for the External Sundial and the Merman Soldier.

Then I still had some pearls left and to utilize them to the very last pearl, I went for the Scissortail Sergeant!

And the Pearl Stash shows that I have redeemed all of my 76 pearls and have none left...

sms scheduler

Oh I remembered I was telling WL about the applications I was using my Magic phone.

One of it was this SMS scheduler (you can find it here http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-zyxsolutions-schedulersms-CpD.aspx) That time, we were talking about it in a hotel, before our Pink Run.

I told her and she did a search, I think the next day or a few days after, she said that she found the application but it was not free to use. It was then I realised that the iphone wasn't all that good!

In fact, the other day I was telling my Darling No 1, that there was a time when I saw 3 guys, all around the same age, wearing office attire, seated side by side on the train. They were really engrossed with the gadget in their hand - iPhone!

It seems like it is the trend now, even my Darling No 1 also was thinking of getting one. I definitely buck the trend and have never been a conformer. Why should I get what everyone else is / will be using? Get a life, live your own life the way you want, not how everyone is.

So what if everyone sends sms with a phone, gets married before 30years old, suffers from a lack of work-home-life balance and gets sick from not eating enough vegetables. Do you want to be like them?

I used to think that you got to buy presents for everyone and to give them on their birthday. Then I went to send sms only on the day of the birthday. Now, I schedule the message as and when I remembered it and it gets sends out.

Do the things you want, when you want, and how you want it. Ultimately, you want only the end result and you want to enjoy the process.

Live Life!

Realization

Two Saturdays ago (12 June 2010) was the first time I went to 313 Somerset (or even orchard) in this year. It was to meet my close friends, WL,YH and OG.

Realizing this, being out of touch with the shopping trends, made me feel that I have moved on from an accompanion to a participator. I enjoyed my time with them and felt really happy.

I think the change was brought on by learning how to drive. It was being in charged and learning to take control.

You learn not to delay but to capture the opportunity. The chance is there for a while, a window period. In order not to miss it, you got to put in all you got.

There is no other choice. If you do not put all you got, you will lose out, immediately! You cannot change lane, will not get to your destination on time, may even get honked!

Yesterday, I met another group of friends, at Plaza Singapura. This time, the feeling was different. I was happy but on a different level. I felt that the 4 of us, CC, GYL, OG and me had really moved on through life on different paths.

All of us met during JC, and all of us were in different classes. Somehow we bonded and yet still were close, despite our differences. CC became a mother and is leading the kind of life I had visualised for myself. While I envy her for taking the path I wanted, I do not think I want to worry about my marriage or kids. GYL had always seems very spiritual and indeed, went on to take an alternative life style. She may intend to further her study in her passion, in what I call hypnosis. OG, whom I thought will have a very blissful marriage, (the three of them had an Okja session, which I refused to participate), married the man whom I felt would be a good husband for her. She has her own financial woes and family problems.

As I recounted my dinner with my Darling No 1, I felt that all of my friends are really diverse. So is everyone in my life. I have always thought that my friends as a group - oh that group from Secondary School, or Junior College, or from my workplace No 1, so on and so forth. But it seems that within the group, there are differences. Sometimes so subtle that only years later, when the differences accumulated, did I detect the differences.

I guess I have never been really a detailed person. I have never thought that being close with someone could bring hurt, I thought that with patience and understanding, you will be able to live with anyone you want or are forced to be. I never thought that you got to really pay attention to each person you come into contact, so that you know everyone's preferences.

The conversation I had with GYL, made me realised that, all the time when we met, we were talking about different things.

Well, it is not too late, since I have never cared at all. I don't think I will ever care, since it was never in my personality.

Somewhere on the way home with GYL and CC, I admitted that I know what I am doing, stems from my "unconsciousness" which I know. I think the exact words I said, were: I know what I am doing.

Well, I never cease to amaze myself, nor others me. Life goes on.
