Scams - Singapore Car Collisions

This was forwarded to me in March 2008:

Dearest Friends…

Please beware when you are driving on the road. This happened to a friend’s sister and after 2 weeks, the same things happened to this friend too.

How true it is, you will have to judge it yourself. A friend’s sister was driving along balestier road and she met chain collision accident, immediately, 2 men approached those caught at the accident with the car repair work shop name card. My friend went down to the accident site right after receiving his sister’s call, he saw the first car owner who was caught in the accident, whos very friendly and with golded hair, eventually, everything was settled.

2 weeks later, the same thing happened to this friend, it’s the same story, to his surprise; it’s the same friendly guy with golden hair and followed by 2 men giving out name for car repair workshop name card. This friend started to feel suspicious with the whole incident, the same person caught at the accident twice and theres always someone standing by to give out name card. Is this a scam to have more business in the particular work shop? No matter what it is, do be more careful on the road and hope this email will be a help to you guys.
