FarmVille - Crop Mastery

I am not extremely proud but at least I got this before! Yes, my first failed Co Op *grins* (Yes this is a grin)

Yeah, here's it! Well, though I did not get any Coins or XP, I got the MVP still and the Red Tulip Mastery.

I went through my Job History and did not find any records of this, except that there is one more attempt shown. And of course my MVP count increased by one.

Here's the screen for the Red Tulips Mastery.

If you want to check how you are progressing on your Crop Master, just go to Market and click on the Seeds Tab (anyway this is the default).

You will then see the Stars under each crop. Move your cursor over the Harvest Bar for the crop in the Market. In my example, I hovered my cursor over the Tomatillos. This is also, by the way, the first Limited Edition Crop that allows crop mastery!

As you can see, it shows 0/80 harvest as I have not planted it before.

(Excuse me, but this next few paragraphs may be boring to a regular FarmVille farmer)

If you have harvested a crop before you will know that the stars means the 3 stage - 1, 2 and 3 of each stage. I edited the next picture to show you some examples.

For the first stage - 0 progress - there won't be any stars. An example is the Tomatillos.

If you have progressed to the first stage, you will see the first star light up. Then if you have progressed to the second stage you will see your second star light up. An example for this is my Eggplant. The third stage for the Eggplant requires 903 harvests which I have planted none for that stage. And once you have grown all the crops required, you will see the third star filled up. It will then show Mastered.

Of course you will have your Mastery Sign Board.

Anyways this is the first Limited Edition Crop that allows you mastery - Tomatillos.

They are available through the Cinco de Mayo from today to 5 May 2010. It take 10 hours to mature, costs $20 FarmVille Coins, yield 120 coins and gives 1 XP. Good deal?

Actually I don't think so. But since the mastery requires only 80 Crops for the First Star, I think it is good if you have a big farm and wants to get more signboards.

Anyway I shall try this :)

There is my 9 XP for seeding. I used the Hot Rod Seeder which covers 9 plots with 1 click of the mouse. Powerful right!

Sorority Life - Love Your Sisters' Style

I think I simply have too much to do!

Just realised how time flies when I saw this picture for Sorority Life... I took these screen shots on 14 April! And it's already 30 April...

Well, this is my CY... My Sorority Sweetheart.

Sorority Life allows activities now and I chose a trip to the Gym (Gym Date) so that both of us can maintain our figures!

He thank me at that time...

But left me the next day!

There is also the new Sorority Life Vintage Boutique that was introduced on 22 April 2010.
The items were available for only 24hours but I did not have the purchasing pow$r so I did not check it out then.

Saw a few nice stuff today... Doesn't the Pink Rose Hem Dress look sweet?

It does look nice on me, doesn't it? 

 

There, I normally wear my sweet Earth Day dress and the nice heels from the Valentines Day Collection. The Blond Hair With HeadBand is from one of the events, I think?

Oh yes, there is this new Voting for Sisters, called Love Your Sisters' Style?

Now this is different from the Vote for your sister. Both come under the CatWalk though. If you click on the Vote for your Sisters! (the first purple box), you will be able to see this new thing. (Normally this is how I vote, because I really have no time now! Sorry Sisters!)

FarmVille - Botanical Garden

(Warning: This is a rather lengthy post. Scroll to the bottom of this post for the links to send Botanical Garden material).

FarmVille gave me a surprise today.







You can buy the Botanical Garden for $50 FarmVille Dollar. There is a Botanical Garden frame that costs $5,000 FarmVille Coins. I had to have it!



So off I went to redecorate my Farm again.

Felt that no matter how it goes, there are so many things that are cluttering my Farm now and I gotta sell them!

So I booted off a few of my decorations - a weather vane, a lil yellow wagon, one or two No Gophers and No Crows sign boards that were displayed on my farm. Also, a few of the Black and Pink Farmhouses had to go (I needed to de-clutter my Storage!)

These are the stuff that I got rid off. I had two of all items! Thanks to friends who gave me the Mystery Box. These are the latest items that you can get from it. Interesting!

 

 

Oh yes, not to forget my Llama! I can't exactly remember if it is from the Mystery Box or from a friend's Feed...

So anyway I went to place the $5,000 frame on my farm and shared this good news!

After getting rid of those stuff (and keeping some back into my Storage), I managed to clear my Flower Patch. If you remembered, I had some roses growing besides my Flower Shed.

Now it's just some tomatoes and the fruit crates besides my ready-to-build Botanical Garden *grins*

So I went to "Look Inside" and found that A good friend has already sent me the Glass Sheet! *grins* This "Look Inside" function is really useful. It allows you to check on your progress. Well, a total of 10 items are needed for each type of material. There are the Irrigation Pipe, Green Beam, Glass Sheet, White Trellis and the Floral Bracket.

I went to click on the What is this? and this notice came up:

Ask your friends for parts to build the Botanical Garden - a beautiful green haven to decorate your farm with! It requires 10 of each construction component from your friends to complete!

Just one funny thing. I saw this from a friend's feed. For Triple or Single Parts. (Now when did the "S" for Single Parts came in? Bad spelling??)

Fishville - Feeding Pattern (2nd Post)

This is my 2nd post on the Feed Pattern.

This is taken when I place the all the eggs in a central location, in the middle of the tank. Then I purposely drop the food at the extreme left (see orange arrow).

As you can see, the fishes are taught (by FishVille) to go left and right. I guess the probability is 50-50. Then Before I can take the picture again, the fishes have all swamped into another pattern. Well, I am too slow but will post more pictures. Hopefully soon.

List of items that dogs are allergic

Just to remind myself and for you to know... These are list of items that dogs are allergic to:



Items to avoid and why

Alcoholic beverages can cause intoxication, coma, and death.
Baby food may contain onion powder (See Onion). Can also result in nutritional deficiencies if fed in large amounts.
Bones from fish, poultry, or other meat sources can cause obstruction or laceration of the digestive system.
Cat food contain protein and fats in amount that are too high for dogs.
Chocolate, coffee, tea, and other caffeine which contain caffeine, theobromine or theophylline are toxic and affect the heart and nervous systems.
Citrus oil extracts can cause vomiting.
Fat trimmings can cause pancreatitis.
Grapes and raisins contain a toxin which can damage the kidneys.
Human vitamin supplements containing iron can damage the lining of the digestive system and be toxic to the other organs including the liver and kidneys.
Large amounts of liver can cause Vitamin A toxicity which affects muscles and bones.
Macadamia nuts contain a toxin which affect the digestive and nervous systems and muscle.
Marijuana can depress the nervous system and cause vomiting and affect heart rate.
Milk and other dairy products may cause vomiting and diarrhea and other organs due to lactose intolerant.
Moldy or spoiled food can contain multiple toxins causing vomiting and diarrhea and can also affect other organs.
Mushrooms contain a toxin which may affect multiple systems in the body, cause shock and result in death.
Onions and garlic (raw, cooked, or powder) contain sulfoxides and disulfides which can damage red blood cells and cause anemia. Cats are more susceptible than dogs. Garlic is less toxic than onions.
Persimmons seeds can cause intestinal obstruction and enteritis.
Pits from peaches and plums may hinder movement in the digestive tract.
Potato, rhubarb, and tomato leaves; potato and tomato stems contain oxalates, which can affect the digestive, nervous, and urinary systems. This is more of a problem in livestock.
Raw eggs contain an enzyme called avidin, which decreases the absorption of biotin (a B vitamin). This can lead to skin and hair coat problems. Raw eggs may also contain Salmonella.
Raw fish can result in a thiamine (a B vitamin) deficiency leading to loss of appetite, seizures, and death.
Salt eaten in large quantities it may lead to electrolyte imbalances.
String can become trapped in the digestive system; called a "string foreign body."
Sugary foods can lead to obesity, dental problems and possibly diabetes mellitus.
Table scraps are nutritionally inbalanced and may contain additives that are not healthy. They should never be more than 10% of the diet. Fat should be trimmed from meat; bones should not be fed.
Tobacco contains nicotine which affects the digestive and nervous systems. Can result in rapid heart beat, collapse, coma and death.
Yeast dough may expand and produce gas in the digestive system, causing pain and possible rupture of the stomach or intestines.

In case your dog gets allergy attack, you need to know how to deal with it.

This is what I would do:

1) Basically check if my dog can still move.

2) Try to feed water

3) If my dog is still eating the poison/toxic, command the dog to drop the food or remove it by force

4) Make sure everything is under control (No mess lying around to be tripped over)

5) Call my Vet

6) Bring my dog to the Vet

And something for you to think... cure for people who are allergic to dogs!

FishVille - Updated list of Fishes

This is my updated list of Fishes to rear in your tank.

Hope this is useful to you.

I do not look at the other fishes (example - fishes that take up to 8hour or 1.5 days to mature) because these are odd timings to me. I go for those that allows me to go back to them in blocks of 15 minutes or 1 hour or 6 hours.

This allows me to go back to the tank twice a day. Example, if I grow my fishes at 10am, I will be able to go back to my tank of Longnose Hawkfishs at 8pm in the evening, knowing they will have matured for me to sell. If I happen to go to my tank late, at 12pm, I can still go back to my tank at 8pm in the evening to sell the 1 year old fishes.

In another scenerio, if I keep a tank of Percula Clownfish that grow at 8hrs, they will be ready for me at 8pm if I grow them at 10am in the morning. But if I go to my tank late at 12pm in the day, I will need to wait 2 hours if I went to go to the tank again in the evening. This requires me to do some scheduling which I hate.

I rather have a single type of fish that allows me to do my stuff regularly without thinking about it! So I can choose to go to my tank daily twice, always buying the same type of fish without thinking!

This is the beauty of my 6hour fish, that is why I so love the Longnose Hawkfishs.

But of course, if you are not going to log in twice a day or have blocks of free time to spend in your tank, I suggest you keep to only the 5minute Mini Dart Goby or the 1day fish which is the Blue Boxfish.

Or you have a different schedule for the day, you may want to change the type of fish.

Personally I love the Bartlett Anthias and the Queen TriggerFish but have seldom kept them in my tank because their timing does not meet my schedule. I also love the Longnose Butterfly and the Percula Clownfish for their kawaii factor and kept them only because I just like to do so, for that moment!

Google Chrome - Tab Tricks

How cool is this!

Just learnt a new trick...

Tip 1 - Close Tab with the Mouse Scroll Button
You can close tab with the mouse scroll button! (Chrome only) This is so convenient! You don't have to go and point to the small cross of the tab. In fact, now this encourages me to go and make all the tabs extremely small!

Now, normally the tabs in Chrome are the big size chunks of around 2 inches (at least they appear that on my 17"inch Acer monitor).

Tip 2 - Change Size of the Tabs

The size of the tabs can be changed so that you know how many sites you are surfing on Chrome.

Big Tabs (normal)

Small Tabs (minimized) - Only the first 2 tabs are minimized. the 3rd one is left as the normal size for your comparison.

You can make them appear small by clicking on the center of the tab and then move your mouse to the left side (still holding that click). The Cursor 1 shows your cursor at the Start position and Cursor 2 shows the ending position.

Similarly if you want to make the tab appear in their normal size, just click on the tab and then drag your cursor to the right. Again, The Cursor 1 shows your cursor at the Start position and Cursor 2 shows the ending position.

Sometimes you may need to move it abit out, to the extreme right, but it is okay. The tab jumps back once you release your click.

Tip 3 - Hover for information
You can leave your cursor on the minimized or even the normal sized tabs to see more information on the site without opening that tab.

In this picture, I am at "Blogger in draft: Lynspira...". I hovered my cursor on the first tab, with the FaceBook Logo. and the cursor shows the page that I am logged in at Facebook - Confirm Requests.

Now aren't these tips neat! Now you can go and surf better :)
